Popular Types
of Coffee Drinks

There are many different types of coffee drinks available. These are the popular ones:

Espresso is black strong coffee. It is prepared by pushing with pressure hot water through fine ground coffee. It is thicker than regular drip coffee and served in small cups. The cups are about the size of a shot glass.

Cappuccino is generally made using 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 frothed milk. Powdered cocoa or cinnamon can be sprinkled on top.

Coffee Latte is usually prepared by using 1/3 espresso and 2/3 steamed milk. It is often flavored with coffee syrup.

Irish Coffee is made with hot coffee, Irish whiskey, sugar and topped with whipped cream.

Turkish Coffee is prepared in a ibrik, a small coffee pot that is heated to boiling. Sugar is optional and is added during brewing. Cream or milk is not added.

Cafe Mocha is made by combining in a coffee mug: 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 1 teaspoon instant coffee. Heat in microwave until hot, usually about 1 1/2 minutes.
