Maxwell House Coffee was established in 1892. The General Foods Corporation purchased the Maxwell House company in 1928. In 1989 General Foods Corporation and Kraft Inc. were combined. The company is now known as Kraft Foods. Maxwell House markets the following coffee products: 1. Coffee Pods Maxwell House Cafe Collection pods work in most single serve brewers. Varieties include House Blend, House Blend Decaffeinated, French Roast and Hazelnut.The single serve brewers use pressure brewing technology and easy to use coffee pods to produce a one cup serving. Maxwell House pods are made from 100% premium Arabica beans with an ideal fine grind. The pods come in a resealable package. 2. Filter Packs Each individual filter pack contains a premeasured amount of 100% pure ground coffee that fits into the brew basket of an automatic drip coffee maker. Each filter pack contains enough coffee to make 4-6 cups of coffee. 3. Ground The following blends are available: a.) The Smooth Master Blend provides a mild, satisfying taste. b.) The Rich Original is a medium roasted blend for great flavor and aroma. The Rich Lite blend contains half the caffeine. c.) The Bold French Roast is a dark roasted blend with a fine ground. The Bold 100% Colombian is also a dark roasted blend. d.) Flavored coffee is available in hazelnut and vanilla flavors. 4. Decaffeinated Most coffee blends are available in a decaffeinated version.5. Instant coffee is available in both a regular and naturally decaffeinated version. Sanka decaffeinated coffee has been available for over 70 years.
