Krups thermal coffee makers brew flavorful coffee. The Krups FMF5 model is a 10 cup machine. It has a double walled vacuum sealed stainless steel thermal carafe that maintains the flavor and temperature longer. It is a sturdy machine that provides fast and efficient brewing.

The 24 hour programmable clock lets you set the time you like your coffee. The pause and serve feature allows you to have a cup of coffee before brewing is finished. When the water is empty, the machine is shut off automatically. It has an easy to read LED control panel. Price is about $100-110.

The Krups Duo Thek coffee maker has two brushed stainless steel thermal carafes. Price is about $185-230.

Krups recommends to use the following steps to make good tasting coffee:
1. Grind roasted beans yourself. Buy fresh beans every 1-2 weeks.
2. Grind beans just before brewing. The fineness of the grind depends on the type of coffee you will be brewing. Beans are finely ground for espresso and coarsely for a French press machine. Drip coffee machines generally use medium ground beans.
3. Filtered water makes better tasting coffee. Use about 1 to 2 tablespoons for 6 ounces of water.
4. Brewed coffee should be used immediately. It should not be reheated. Thermal carafes keep the coffee hot for about 4 hours.
