Iced Coffee
during the Summer

Iced coffee can be a refreshing drink during the summer. There are many recipes available that satisfy almost every desired taste. To make these drinks is a simple process:

1. Brew a pot of fresh coffee. Make the coffee stronger than you normally do, because it will dilute when ice is added later. It is also better to use dark roasted coffee blends.

2. Transfer the brewed coffee to a pitcher. Let the coffee stand for several hours to cool or place the pitcher in the refrigerator. If it is a glass pitcher, put some pieces of ice in the coffee, otherwise you take the risk of cracking the glass. You can also fill your sink with several inches of cold water and put the pitcher in for about 15 minutes and then put the pitcher in the refrigerator.

3. If you like sugar in your coffee, add sugar or a sugar substitute while the coffee is hot.

4. After about 2 hours in the refrigerator, the coffee should be cold and ready to use. You can add milk or coffee syrup to your coffee.

You can also make some coffee ice cubes and enjoy a cup of coffee anytime later.
