The Cuisinart programmable espresso maker, model EM-200, can brew single or double espresso. You can use ground espresso or pods. The machine delivers 15 bars of pressure to make consistently good espresso, while the stainless steel stem nozzle makes it easy to prepare a frothy cappuccino or latte. Pre programmed cup sizes include 1 1/2 ounces and 3 ounces. Price is about $200.

Cleaning the filters
1. The filters and portafilter holder should be rinsed under water immediately after use.
2. Periodically run water through the machine with the portafilter holder in place, but without coffee grounds.
3. Wipe the inside of the brew head with a damp cloth.
